First, it was announced that Matt Weedon is to leave Lords of the Manor. And now Greg Malouf is departing Petersham Nurseries Cafe.
They say coincidences run in three’s, so we wonder where the third opportunity for an ambitious chef will be found…?
Matt Weedon vacates Lords of the Manor
After four successful years with the Michelin starred Lords of the Manor, Head Chef Matt Weedon is bidding the restaurant farewell.
Lords of the Manor is now seeking a new Head Chef of equal calibre to head up the restaurant and maintain its Michelin star status and additional accolades such its 3AA Rosettes.
General Manager of Lords of the Manor, Paul Thompson, said:
“We wish Matt all the very best for the future and are looking forward to welcoming a new Head Chef to lead our talented kitchen brigade.”

Petersham Nurseries Cafe seeks successor to Greg Malouf
Greg Malouf, head chef at Petersham Nurseries Cafe in Richmond, is reported to have left after less than a year, and is returning to Australia.
Malouf joined the Cafe in the spring of 2012, as the replacement for Skye Gyngell.
Petersham Nurseries cafe recently retained its Michelin star, and will now be seeking its second replacement chef of 2012, possibly again looking for another ‘name’ who will act as consultant chef.
