Spirit Pub Company has celebrated its John Barras brand hitting the 100th milestone at the opening of Nuneaton pub, the Chase Hotel. The pub was reopened by head of brand at Spirit, Sebastian Leheup-Jones, and has received a £225,000 renovation of the bar and kitchen area which has created 15 new jobs.
Aiming for 200
The John Barras brand was relaunched just under three years ago with the Lane Ends pub in Preston, and now has pubs across the nation from the Beehive in Carlisle to the Quayside Inn in Falmouth.
Sebastian said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for the John Barras brand. We have worked extremely hard to create a brand that is right for our neighbourhood pubs; one that is famous not only for its great value but also for sticking to the traditional values of a local pub by offering great sports viewing and live entertainment.
“We are still investing in developing and growing the brand and we have high aspirations with an aim to hit the 200 mark in the future. As such, we are looking to attract and recruit high calibre general managers to be part of this exciting and fast growing brand”
Celebrate with John Barras Celebration Ale
To celebrate the milestone, Sebastian and general manager of the Chase Hotel, Peter Ayres, cut a John Barras Full English Burger cake at the launch, and a special cask ale has been named the ‘John Barras Celebration Ale’ and will be available at the Chase Hotel and 45 other John Barras pubs that offer cask ale.
John Barras will also be getting behind Children In Need this year, with each pub hosting an exclusive quiz with questions set by Terry Wogan as well as donating 25p from every Barras Burger sold across the estate between 9-23 November.
