Graze with Bath Ales

By James Russell: Graze with Bath Ales

October 29, 2012

Bath Ales has signed the lease for its biggest outlet to date, next to Bath Spa Station. The new outlet – Graze Bar, Brewery and Chophouse – needs a full team of skilled people for the 5,000 sq ft site, and will create up to 50 new jobs.

The new flagship outlet joins The Hop Pole and The Salamander in the Bath Ales portfolio in Bath, and plans for it include a small micro-brewery and two alfresco dining areas, with staff accommodating up to 140 diners at any one time.

Robin Couling, Bath Ales’ retail director, said:

“It’s an exciting time for us and with Graze being genuinely different we are confident we are adding something that improves the excellent offer Bath makes to residents and visitors alike.”

An established operation, in the past year Bath Ales has increased its brewery capacity and opened three new outlets prior to the announcement of this latest opening.

The Graze will open this December, offering high quality food.  Locally sourced meats are the central focus of the menu, but there will also be fresh seafood, seasonal specials and light snacks to choose from, all accompanied by an extensive range of cask beers and other drinks.

New roles include General Manager, and a host of other management and service roles. To support the dining operation, Bath Ales are also recruiting a full complement of catering staff from Chefs to Kitchen Porters.

Bath Ales
Based between Bath and Bristol, Bath Ales is an independent brewery established in 1995  which uses traditional brewing techniques with cutting-edge technology.   The founders come from a brewing background and combine a range of skills with a shared passion for cask beer.

The Bath Ales range of beers includes Gem, Barnsey, Dark Side, Wild Hare, S.P.A. and Ginger Hare.
