Raise the Halloween spirits with Pumpkin Ale

By James Russell: Raise the Halloween spirits with Pumpkin Ale

October 10, 2012

Everards is embracing the spooky spirit of Halloween with the launch of a new beer, Pumpkin Ale.

The new addition to Everards’ guest ales range will be available throughout October, providing a tasty accompaniment to the annual fright fest. Made with Styrian Dana hops and infused with real pumpkin, the new beer is Everards’ first bitter specifically brewed for Halloween and offers a real autumnal flavour.

With a burnt, smoky character, balanced with light citrus flavours, Pumpkin Ale has a lingering bitter finish. It’s also made with three types of malt – standard, crystal rye and black malts.

Graham Giblett, Head Brewer at Everards commented:

“This is our first Halloween ale and we wanted to make it as authentic as possible. Pumpkin Ale is a fine example of how unusual ingredients can be mixed with traditional flavours to create a great tasting beer.”

Pumpkin Ale (3.5% ABV) joins Everards’ extensive range of ales, including autumn favourite Equinox.
