The Crown Inn in Amersham, Buckinghamshire is the location of the now-famous romantic scenes between Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell in Four Weddings and a Funeral – back in 1994. Now, however, it is operating under BDO after Dhillon Group was taken into administration last week.
Four hotels are affected:
- The Crown Inn, Amersham – Grade 11 listed , 41 bedrooms
- Liongate Hotel, Kingston-upon-Thames – 32 bedrooms
- Olde Bell, Hurley-on-Thames – 48 bedrooms
- Paragon Hotel, Birmingham – 200 bedrooms
The hotels remain staffed and operational, and the suite used by ‘Four Weddings’ remains available to admirers of Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell – or four-poster beds!
