H&C News pays careful attention to the social media and digital marketing activities used so extensively – and sometimes creatively – by the hospitality industry. But we are delighted to have been reminded this week – by no less a figure than the CEO of Orchid Group – that traditional methods also work well.
The Orchid Group is the sixth largest managed pub company and restaurant company in the UK, and employs all the ‘modern’ methods of digital marketing that you would expect: Facebook, Twitter, on-line booking…as well as a blog by their CEO Rufus Hall.
And, whilst happy to celebrate their successes, including the many awards they win, Mr Hall is also happy to point out that traditional pub marketing methods are as effective as ever – especially if accompanied by humour.
