On Thursday 13 September 2012, Ken Hom, one of the greatest Chinese chefs in the world, will be hosting a dinner at The Feathers Hotel, the official hotel for the Blenheim Palace Woodstock Literary Festival.
Commencing at 7.30pm and priced at £95 per person including wine, this will be the only dinner that Hom will cook in the UK this year. Diners will also enjoy hearing Hom speak at the event.
Blenheim Palace has had some of Britain’s and the world’s leading politicians speak within its walls: now, you can sample some of the Chinese dishes that Ken Hom has prepared for prime ministers and presidents!
The evening starts with a Champagne and canapés reception, followed by a menu prepared by chefs of The Feathers Hotel under the guidance of Hom. Some of the delights that will feature on the menu are Vietnamese spring rolls, steamed Cantonese style fish, and warm mango compote with basil and vanilla ice cream.
The Feathers Restaurant has two AA rosettes and is renowned for its modern British cuisine. Another feature of the restaurant that puts it on the map is its Gin Bar which houses 162 different types of gin, so it won’t be any surprise that it holds the current Guinness World Record for the largest gin collection in the world. The Feathers Restaurant even offers The Gin Experience for £75: a menu that incorporates gin into every one of its seven courses.
