The Philadelphia Young Chef of the Year 2012 competition, which aimed to reward the innovation and creativity of talented trainee chefs in full time and part time education aged 17-23, returned for a second successful year!
Kraft Foods teamed up with the Craft Guild of Chefs, professional chef Sophie Wright, City & Guilds, 3663 Catering Equipment and Cheese Cellar to develop the competition.
Four finalists were selected from among the entrants who uploaded recipe ideas to the website in the first round of the competition. They were then invited to a cook-off to prepare their dish in front of the judges within one hour. Check out the video to experience some of the excitement which followed!
