The Box Tree Restaurant in Ilkley announces today that they are included in The Good Food Guide’s Top 50 UK Restaurants. The guide reviews the best restaurants, pubs and cafes throughout the UK and is written from scratch every year based on readers’ feedback and anonymous volunteer inspectors. The food, service and experience are taken into account and the guide remains the UK’s bestselling restaurant guide.
The Box Tree recently announced its retention of the Michelin Star for an unprecedented 8th year running and 13 years for Simon Gueller as chef with Michelin Star status. This year also sees a milestone anniversary for The Box Tree; 50 years of being at the top of its game and one of the county’s most respected and flourishing restaurant businesses.
Simon added: ‘It’s a team effort at The Box Tree and our selection to be included within this guide just shows how everyone involved with the restaurant is a vital cog in the wheel that goes towards making every customer’s experience exceptional. It’s an illustrious list of locations and chefs and we are thrilled to be included.’
The Box Tree Restaurant is owned and managed by husband and wife team, Rena and Simon Gueller who also run Box Tree events. The Box Tree is one of only two restaurants included from the Yorkshire region and sits alongside other such restaurants as Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck at Bray and Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons.
