The Institute of Hospitality has announced a special evening in the company of Sir David Michels FIH, President, at the five-star Sofitel Hotel, Gatwick Airport North Terminal, from 18.00 to 21.00 on Tuesday 18 September.
Sir David will be in conversation with Andrew Sangster, the leading financial journalist and editor of Hotel Analyst. Attending this special evening will deliver new business insights into the hospitality industry from one of its most experienced and successful leaders. Sir David is also well-known as a warm and witty raconteur.
The conversation will be followed by a buffet supper and time to network with friends and industry peers.
- Sir David is a board member of Strategic Hotels and Resorts, Jumeirah Hotels and The Savoy London. He is also the Chairman of his own asset management company, Michels & Taylor.
- Having spent over 40 years in the hotel and gaming business, he retired from corporate life in 2007 having sold Hilton International, where he was Group Chief Executive, to Hilton Hotels Corporation for £4 billion.
- He was knighted for services to the hotel and catering industry in 2006.
