De Vere Group is reported to be planning a £20 million investment in a hotel and leisure complex at Pacific Quay on the River Clyde in Glasgow.
De Vere Group Village Urban Resorts revealed plans some months back for 15 new UK “village urban resorts” to add to its existing 24, and intends to apply for planning permission for the development at Pacific Quay, which it is estimated would generate 120 new jobs for the area.
This follows the announcement in July of a Premier Inn on the waterfront at Pacific Quay.
The new hotel complex at Pacific Quay will include 120 rooms, a health and fitness centre with a 20m pool, business meeting rooms, restaurant, bar and a Starbucks, and is intended to be ready for the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
