On Thursday 26th April 2012, legendary Swiss Chef, Anton Mosimann OBE, will be offering his support and culinary expertise to The Clink Charity as he hosts an exclusive fundraising lunch at The Clink Restaurant, within the walls of H.M.P High Down, Surrey, to raise awareness, support and funds for the charity.
Mosimann, world renowned chef and supporter of The Clink Charity, his son Mark and his team will work alongside Chef Al Crisci MBE and the prisoners in training, to produce the mouth-watering three-course lunch menu.
Guests to this exclusive event are invited to meet at Mosimann’s, located in the heart of Belgravia, at 10.00am before being transported to The Clink Restaurant by luxury coach. Alternatively guests are also welcome to come straight to The Clink Restaurant for 11.30am with the lunch beginning at 11.45am.
Tickets for the lunch are £115 per person for those meeting at Mosimann’s and £85 for those who wish to make their own way to The Clink. £25 from each ticket sold will be donated directly to The Clink Charity. The Clink Restaurant is the first and only commercial restaurant to be built inside a working British prison to date. A unique training scheme, The Clink offers prisoners the opportunity to train as chefs and waiters and gain nationally recognised qualifications in the process, learning a valuable trade within a true-to-life environment before finding full-time employment within the hospitality industry upon their release.
Born in Switzerland, Anton came to the UK where he was appointed Maître Chef de Cuisines at London’s Dorchester Hotel when he was just 28 years old. After leaving The Dorchester, Mosimann created a private dining club called Mosimann’s in West Halkin Street, Belgravia. In 2011 he was chosen to cook for the evening reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding at Buckingham Palace.
