Fly with the Lancaster Bees!
On 22 June 2012, Lancaster London and Springboard will join 70 thrill-seeking volunteers in a day of charitable abseiling.
The once in a lifetime opportunity to abseil down the side of one of London’s tallest hotels (Lancaster London has 18 floors!) with spectacular views over Hyde Park and the London skyline, will be an exhilarating rush for many adrenaline junkies.

There is a good cause prompting this act of mild insanity. Each participant will have to commit to raise a minimum of £360 for the Springboard Charity, which helps young, unemployed and disadvantaged people forge a successful career in hospitality.
The funds raised from this particular activity will go toward the highly successful “Summer School Programme”, which supports young school and college leavers with their first step onto the career ladder. It involves a three week programme of preparation for work including short skills courses and structured work experience with a view to achieving employment or an apprenticeship at the end.
The first abseilers will set off at 10am, with staggered start times for each participant. The day will be concluded by approximately 5pm.
Entry is open to everyone, and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
