Cliveden House Hotel sold to Ian and Richard Livingstone

Cliveden House Hotel one of the UK’s most famous hotels has been sold to Ian and Richard Livingstone.  Acting for the Administrators of von Essen Hotels Christie + Co has sold 20 properties from the group including the Thorn Island Napoleonic Fort in Pembrokeshire.

Following a multi-million pound investment programme, Cliveden will consolidate its position as one of the best known country house hotels in the UK.

Chris Day, International Managing Director of Christie + Co, said: “The sale of Cliveden is the pinnacle of our work to date on behalf of the Administrators of von Essen Hotels. This renowned hotel has a new owner who will make complete the investment required to meet the growing demands of the international leisure and corporate customers of the business.

We are delighted to announce this long awaited sale which will be followed by more sales on behalf of the Administrators in the weeks ahead.”
