Longleat Enterprises Limited, which last week announced it had acquired Bishopstrow House in Wiltshire out of the administration of the von Essen group of hotels, has bought a second von Essen asset.
Homewood Park Hotel and Spa, a 21-bed country house hotel set in ten acres on the outskirts of Bath has been sold to Longleat by Christie + Co on behalf of the administrators.
One of the leading hotels in the West Country, Homewood Park Hotel and Spa is a Georgian building whose foundations date from the 13th century. The hotel also has a nationally-renowned restaurant (Lime), award-winning gardens and the added advantage of extensive views over the glorious Limpley Stoke valley. It is ideally located for Longleat.
Chris Day, Managing Director of Christie + Co says: “Homewood Park Hotel and Spa is another fine example of an historic country house hotel acquired by Longleat, and is an ideal companion to Bishopstrow House.”
