Jean-Christophe Novelli has launched a website and competition called MasterSpud, to try and identify Britain’s best potato recipe.
Novelli is inviting anyone who aspires to being recognised as a chef to enter a potato based recipe, the prize winner will then co star alongside the ‘dishy’ chef in a UK wide TV advertising campaign.
Jean-Christophe has also been working with the Potato Council to create a selection of simple but delicious recipes for quick and healthy mid-week meals. They are the perfect base for any healthy and delicious meal and are extremely quick and easy to cook.
Novelli commented, “potatoes are such a versatile ingredient, I use them frequently in so many of my recipes. Food trends come and go but potatoes are an important part of british life.”
