Plans have been finalised for a new 200-bed upmarket hotel at The University of Nottingham. The £20m eco-friendly hotel will be available for use by conference delegates, university visitors, local businesses and the general public.
Built to the highest environmental standards, the hotel will feature state of the art technology to reduce carbon emissions, as part of the University’s strategy to become an ever more environmentally friendly institution.
Bam Construction is in line to secure the hotel job for the University of Nottingham, with an estimated contract value of circa £20m.
A 200-bed, 4 star equivalent hotel will be built on its main University Park campus, next to the East Midlands Conference Centre.
It will feature at least 50 executive style rooms, four boardrooms and a gym as well as a restaurant and bar which will be open to conference delegates and the public.
The eco-friendly hotel has been designed to the BREAM Excellent standard and is the brainchild of the University to provide a fresh income stream.
