A Cheshire hotel attracting commercial, conference and private banqueting business has been sold for a sum above asking price by Christie + Co on behalf of Menzies Hotels.
The Pinewood Hotel in Wilmslow, offers 58 high class rooms, a restaurant, bar, five meeting rooms (40-150 capacity) and extensive parking for guests and visitors including ‘park and fly’ arrangements.
The three-storey period property has been extended and modernised, and has extensive outbuildings which, in addition to providing storage and staff accommodation, are ripe for development potential.
Jeremy Jones, Director of Corporate Hotels at Christie + Co, says: “We’re delighted to have achieved such an excellent price on the freehold on the Pinewood Hotel on behalf of Menzies Hotels. We’re certain the new owners will be delighted to have acquired such an attractive and commercially successful business.”
The Pinewood Hotel was acquired by Best Western, The Castle Green Hotel, Kendal for a sum in excess of the £2.25 million asking price.
