A £3 million facility provided by new bankers will be used for both working capital and investment across Torode’s restaurant business.
Barclays is the new banker to TVs Masterchef John Torode’s restaurant business, and has started the relationship by providing a new £3 million loan facility for expansion.
Torode is looking at expanding outside his well known Spitalfields location, where his signature restaurant, Smiths of Smithfield, has been open now for more than a decade.
Following the news Torode was quoted, “We are looking forward to a profitable working relationship and to the better times which are surely ahead of us and the people who come to enjoy our venues.”
