Travelodge to build £4m hotel in Enfield for 2012 Olympics

By James Russell: Travelodge to build £4m hotel in Enfield for 2012 Olympics

March 28, 2011

Travelodge and Frontier Estates have agreed contracts to build a 132 bed hotel at the Lumina Park development in Enfield in time for the London 2012 Olympics.

The £4m hotel has already secured detailed planning permission to be built at Frontier’s Lumina Park development.

Tony O’Brien, UK development director for Travelodge, said: “The London Borough of Enfield has a significant shortage of hotel accommodation and we have been seeking the right site in the borough for some time.

“We have a good relationship with Frontier Estates, they previously built our hotel in Slough, meaning they knew that we could act quickly when their previous tenant pulled out.”
