Marmalade martinis – shaken, not stirred – made with delectable Limited Edition Chase Marmalade Vodka and served with melt-in-the-mouth brioche: a fitting breakfast to mark the opening of London’s latest chic venue, the Bistro du Vin at Clerkenwell, which will be joining the city scene from April 7.
The Williams Chase distillery has created an exclusive batch of it’s renowned Limited Edition Marmalade Vodka – made from marmalade marinated in Chase’s award-winning potato vodka and infused with fresh Seville orange peel – especially for the opening of London’s first stand-alone Bistro du Vin.
“The Bistro du Vin is a very exciting concept and a fitting venue for this exclusive batch of Marmalade Vodka.” said Mr William Chase, founder of the Chase Distillery in Herefordshire.
Chase Marmalade Vodka is distilled in batches of only 1000 bottles at a time, a few times a year, and is hugely prized and sought after by connoisseurs.
The London Bistro du Vin set to open on the former site of Bjorn van der Horst’s Eastside Inn in Clerkenwell, is part of the Du Vin “family”, renowned for the Hotel du Vin portfolio of 14 hotels across the UK.
The Clerkenwell Bistro du Vin will offer classic breakfast, lunch and dinner menus devised by group executive chef, Keith Shearer, and Malmaison London chef, John Woodward, utilising locally sourced seasonal produce from a 30-mile radius. There will also be an on-site butchery stocking fresh meat from the nearby Smithfield’s market. Customers will be able to have a full view of the chefs in action through a glass wall.
No meal is complete without the “Vin”, and the Bistro’s signature Wine Tasting Table will feature Master Sommelier Ronan Sayburn’s personal selection from the wine cellar. The bar surrounds a mini-kitchen which will serve up bar snacks and an impressive array of cocktails.
Robert B. Cook, chief executive of Hotel du Vin, said: “Bistro du Vin on the high street and in London is the next big and exciting step for the du Vin brand. We anticipate further Bistro du Vin openings happening in high streets soon.”
