Dorchester Collection to open new hotel in Mayfair, with extra-special restaurant 45 Park Lane, opening in summer 2011, is the Dorchester Collection’s new London hotel. It will have 45 contemporary style rooms and suites as well as a penthouse, all with views of Hyde Park.
‘CUT at 45 Park Lane’ is the property’s restaurant that will occupy a double height space on the ground floor with 76 covers alongside a separate lounge area. A 30-cover ‘Bar 45’,a library and private screening room will be located on a mezzanine level accessed via a central staircase.
David McIntyre and Loyd Loudy have been appointed as Executive Chef and Restaurant Director for the new restaurant, the first Wolfgang Puck restaurant to open in Europe.
‘CUT at 45 Park Lane’ will be a modern American steak restaurant offering prime dry and wet aged beef, pan-roasted lobster and sautéed and roasted whole fresh fish.
California born David McIntyre has been part of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group for more than 13 years and joins directly from WP24 by Wolfgang Puck in Los Angeles, where he was Executive Chef and oversaw the opening of the fine dining restaurant located in The Ritz Carlton, Los Angeles.
French-born Loyd Loudy joins from SupperClub restaurant limited in Notting Hill, where he was responsible for establishing the popular Dutch concept in London. Loudy’s previous restaurant successes include the launch of China Tang at The Dorchester, the OXO Tower Restaurant, Shoreditch House and Soho House’s reopening.
