Charming Hotels Madeira Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of new Sales & Marketing Manager, António Silva.
With 25 years experience in the hospitality & leisure industry, Antonio Silva started his professional career at Madeira Palacio Hotel and then joined the opening team for the first Suite Hotel for Pestana Hotels & Resorts.
He briefly left the hospitality industry to join Blandy Group as Assistant Manager opening Palheiro Golf, Madeira’s second golf course. He returned as Assistant Manager for the opening team for the five star Casa Velha do Palheiro.
Silva later joined travel agency Festival Tours as Director of Sales & Marketing before moving to IHG and the opening team for their first Resort hotel in Europe, Crown Plaza Resort Madeira as Director of Sales.
He was then invited to join Tivoli Hotels Group as Commercial Director of the Tivoli Ocean Park Hotel. Silva was appointed Assistant Manager for the opening of the first five star hotel in Madeira from the Solmelia Group, the Melia Madeira Mare.
