Christie + Co has continued to show its commitment to serving its clients in the pub sector, with the addition of experienced licensed property adviser Andrew Robinson to its London-based Corporate Pubs acquisitions team.
Andrew, who has over 29 years of experience working across the licensed and hotel property sectors, started his career in commercial property with Christie + Co in 1981 when he joined the company’s London-based Corporate Hospitality team.
Five years later, he left to form the Business Sales Group (BSG), which specialised in acquisitions and valuation work across the pub sector for a number of high-profile clients including Whitbread, JD Wetherspoon, Regents Inns, Michael Cannon and Chris Hutt. BSG merged with Intrinsic Property in September 2007, with Intrinsic subsequently merging with HNG Property at the start of this year.
Prior to rejoining Christie + Co, Andrew had been working in a consultancy role for Intrinsic.
Neil Morgan, Director and Head of Pubs at Christie + Co said: “Andrew has vast experience in acquisitions and I am confident he will prove to be a huge asset to Christie + Co’s London-based Corporate Pubs team, strengthening our existing group of experts and developing new business. Andrew will focus on acquisition opportunities across pub freehold estates, aiding the expansion targets of national pub companies, whilst also monitoring alternative-use development openings for leading retail operators.
“Despite the current market conditions, we continue to invest in expanding our base of expertise with the addition of high-quality personnel in order to provide our clients with the best business intelligence and advice.”
